Joanna Rowsell supports Alopecia UK

06 10 2014

Joanna Rowsell has been named the new ambassador for Alopecia UK.

The champion cyclist, who competed at the London 2012 Olympics and won gold in the Women's Team Pursuit, was diagnosed with alopecia when she was ten years old. Rowsell commented 'I had made my peace with the condition and was comfortable talking about it to the media, but was totally overwhelmed with the general response. I am excited to be an ambassador for Alopecia UK because they do fantastic work to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia'.
